Our Favorite Bars

After a tough day on the boat or at the beach you can't beat a nice cold beer or cocktail. Cape Coral has some great & unusual bars. Sunday afternoon from 4pm at the Paradise Tiki you can dance away the years. Thursday night - Chuck rocks the Monkey Bar & everynight you can have a sundowner at the Boathouse Tiki at the Yacht Club Beach.

The Boathouse

Located right on Cape Coral Yacht Club Beach The Boathouse is only one minutes drive or a five minute walk from Villa Del Rio. The views & sunsets are stunning & if you spend a day at the beach enjoy a cool beer before you head home. The Boathouse replaced KC's Riverstop & we used to stop for coffee there on our morning cycle. We recommend you give it a try & would love to hear your comments. It opens daily from 8am to 10pm.

You can also rent paddle boards from Ryan at the Boathouse & when you meet him tell him you are staying at Kevin & Karen's home & he will look after you. Ryan also offers guided paddle board tours a great way to see our local area from the water. This is a link to Ryan's Paddle Board Website http://www.supciety.com/

Monkey Bar

The Monkey Bar & Steakhouse has the best happy Hour (until 8pm) in the Cape. Good music & great food at reasonable prices.

Ford's Garage

Ford's Garage is your neighborhood burger and beer joint, where everyone is welcome.

Nevermind Bar & Eatery

Small bar, very cosy & good food

Bert's Bar & Grill, Matlacha

We drop in at Bert's nearly every time we get down to Matlacha. Great "old fishing village" atmosphere. You can go by land or water and they're famous for the sunsets you can see there. No hard liquor but great fish n'chips. They just don't build 'em like this anymore

Cabbage Key

If your looking for spectacular food and presentation this is not the place. If you want a good cheeseburger and slaw with a view to die for, you found it. You can only get there by boat but the cruise with dolphins jumping and spectacular boating makes for a great day out. Wonderful....

Tiki Bar & Grill

Tiki Hut Bar & Grill - the largest in the United States - is a fun bar with regular Live music. Sunday evening from 4.30pm is great fun & should be experienced at least once - although most come back for more. Fifties & sixties live music & lots of craic.

Cork Soakers Deck & Wine Bar

Cork Soakers only serves wine & beer but alongside that you get some of the most unusual pub grub served in South West Florida. Smoked Salmon Deviled Egg, Duck Confit Risotto tossed with roasted Butternut & Sage spiked with Pancetta. The food is so tasty sometimes its difficult to remember your in a pub.
